The following shots show a kiosk at the Marrickvile Metro for Tech Zone, a mobile phone business. It was built in colaboration with Tim Mason of Bonk design (web.me.com/bonkdesign). As the budget was tight, the use of a vibrant laminate as the banner colour, white melamine for the bulk carcassing & pre- fabricated display cases allowed us to meet both budget & produce an eye catching design.
The design was confined to a 3 x 4 mtere space so the breif was to maximise storage & display space, & as the site was not necessarily permanent it had to be easliy demountable.
We combined corner pieces with glass display cases (by Showfront) mounted on locking drawer units. The vertical corners were the laminates meet are protected with an aluminium extrusion.
The show case lighting was built-in & simply connected through a series of leads & powerboards back to a power point on rthe adjacent column, making the whole 'shop' easy to dismount & relocate.
This is one of Bonk Designs rendered images. A series of these images were created so the client had a clear image of what we were providing, they were also used to satisfy the centre management & for vision during constrution.
